Know who is Lord Hanuman’s son?
We call Lord Hanuman as
Oh, father Hanuman, Hanumanthappa, Anjaneyar Appa and so on.
He accepts us as His
children. Of course, after all, He is the incarnation the Father Lord Siva.
Whereas in the great
epic Ramayana, there is a branch of story that deals with Lord Anjaneyar and
His son. The part starts at the end of Sundara Kandam and reveals at the Uththa
Kandam. But, most of the times while reciting the Ramayana, some parts are
being omitted in order to focus on Lord Rama and that is due to time saving.
Lord Hanuman is the symbol of Purity as Mother Sita. He is unmarried and eternal.
Son of Lord Anjaneya Swamy:-
Lord Anjaneyar flew over the great sea and reached Lanka in
order to find the holy mother Sita. As expected, Lord Hanuman found Mother Sita
at Ashokavan under the supervision of demons by King Ravana.
Lord Hanuman, changed His form a mini one using His Anima
Power sat on one of the branches of Simsubha tree where under its shadow, Sita
has been guarded. He watched the activities of the demons the whole day. When night
fell, Mother Sita tried to kill Herself; at the moment, He started His
conversation with Lord Rama’s grace.
Mother Sita was moved by it and blessed Him. Lord Hanuman
gave Her Lord Rama’s ring and She identified it; in turn, She gave Her ornament
which was wore by Her husband during their marriage.
Many demons came to destroy Lord Hanuman; but He destroyed
all of them. Then, He was imprisoned by Indrajith, one of the sons of King
Ravana using Brahmasthra.
At the King’s court, lord Hanuman was humiliated and
sentenced to death. Due to the interruption of Vibishanan, younger brother of
King Ravana, the King reordered to set fire at Lord Hanuman’s tail. Their mere thought
on Lord Hanuman was that it was a fierce monkey.
Lord Hanuman set the fire all over the Lanka, and almost
burnt it by the fire that was set on His tail by the King of Lanka.
Lord
Hanuman after satisfying Lord Fire by setting fire all over Lanka, stood on the
sea to wet His tail. At that time, His face started to sweat on heat. He wiped
and threw the sweat drops into the water. A
crocodile in the water drank the sweat drops and got conceived. The drops of
Lord Hanuman’s sweat formed and born as a brave monkey form.
In other version,
it has been said that Lord Hanuman dipped in the sea to refresh Himself
due to the heat of burning Lanka; a drop of His seed got discharged and
fish like reptile drank it and got conceived.
He was named as
Makarathvajan. Makar means crocodile. As he was born to a crocodile, he was
called thus. Lord Hanuman knew nothing about it.

These
incidents might happen at the end of ‘Sundara Kandam’. Because, after setting
fire on Lanka, Lord Hanuman returned to Mother Sita, got permission and
blessings, and flew back to India, i.e., to the place where Lord Rama awaited
for Him.
During
Uththa Kandam, Lord Rama waged war with King Ravana. During the war time, King
Ravana cunningly set Ahi Ravana and Mahi Ravana to kill Lord Sri Ram and His
brother Lakshman. The demon disguised as Vibishnan and took both of them to
their dwelling place, underworld called as the Pathala Lokam.
Lord
Hanuman went in search of them and found a brave soldier in monkey form
guarding the entrance. He asked about His Lord Ram and Lakshman. He informed
about them. When asked by Lord Hanuman, he answered that he was the son of Lord
Hanuman, named Makarathvajan.
Lord
Hanuman who was completely unaware of the incidents happened during His bravery
deeds in Lanka burning session, rose to the heights of anger. According to Lord
Hanuman and the world, He is the Holy Bachelor, i.e., Brahmachari devoted to
Lord Sri Ram.
A combat rose in between them. Finally, the truth was
revealed. Lord Hanuman accepted His son. After the destruction of Ahi, Mahi
Ravanas, Makarathvajan, the son of Lord Hanuman was made as the King of the
underworld, Pathal Lokam to maintain peace and justice in the underworld.
Thus
the story has been said.
[[ However, another version of story in Thai Ramayana blindly challenging Hanuman's chastity. That would not be accepted, as Lord Hanuman stands for purity not giving His heart to anyone than Lord Sri Ram.
It is to be considered that folk stories should not divert the chastity of any character and the writers should take care of it.
